New faces at RIC, meet Jacob – Airport Operations Officer

RIC Airport Operations welcomes our newest team member, Mr. Jacob Hiller.  Mr. Hiller lands at RIC from the Jackson Hole Airport in Jackson, Wyoming.  During his tenure at JAC Jacob first served an internship and later was hired as an Airport Operations Officer.  Born in Texas, Jacob calls Kentucky home.  A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University Jacob holds a Bachelors Degree in Aviation Management, and a minor in Business.  Jacob describes a “childlike wonder for things that fly” that led him to pursuing a career in aviation.  Prior to moving to Virginia Jacob had visited the state a couple of times touring historic sites.  Leaving behind an airport with a view of the Rocky Mountains, he says that Virginia reminds him of home – “it’s very Kentucky-like”.  Jacob is married to his high school sweetheart.  He is a self described “heavy metal head”.  He also enjoys reading, hiking and video games.  Please take the opportunity to say hi if you see him around the campus and join us in welcoming him to the RVA.
